Faith and Character-Building Activities

Who am I? Why am I here?

We all search for meaning and purpose in life. The Salvation Army believes that a person's deepest needs can only be satisfied through a relationship with God. In addition to being a center for compassionate ministries and assistance to our community, The Salvation Army also functions as a church to hundreds of people in Chautauqua County.

Our Sunday meetings and interest-specific groups are designed to help people grow in faith and character. Every week there are opportunities for all ages to participate in worship, spiritual growth, recreation and volunteer service to the community.

If you don't already have a church, we invite you to come become part of our family at The Salvation Army. The sermons are easy to understand, the people are friendly and there's always plenty of parking. We're located at 83 South Main Street in Jamestown, NY.

The Temple

The Jamestown Temple Corps is a branch of the Protestant church and is under the direction of Majors Richard and Jody Best. Worshipping with us, you will find a warm welcome and made to feel at home and among friends.  In the Worship Service you can join in the singing of the well-known inspirational hymns and some the newer praise songs as well. The message is from the Bible, the Word of God, with no variance.  You will leave with the good feeling that God loves you.
